Nectar AI Review (2026): A Detailed Companion Builder From $9.99 a Month, With a Credit Wallet to Plan For
I checked Nectar AI's plans, free tier, builder, memory, voice, images, video, credits and privacy, so you know what a Nectar AI girlfriend really costs.
Verdict. Nectar AI gives you one of the most detailed companion builders and six switchable chat models from $9.99 a month; set a credit budget first and it's easy to recommend.
Nectar AI is the companion app I'd point you to if you care about building a character properly. The builder asks for appearance, personality, a backstory and example dialogue, then lets you pick a voice from a library or generate your own, so your companion sounds and behaves the way you planned before the first message. On top of that, Nectar AI gives you six chat models you can swap mid-conversation, a Memory panel where you star the facts that matter, group chats with up to ten companions, and image and video generation inside the same browser account. If you've been comparing Nectar AI features across apps, the short version is that little here feels bolted on: the chat, the pictures and the scenes all tie back to the character you built.
This review covers every plan, every credit cost I could source, the memory and voice settings, image and video generation, the terms of use and the privacy policy, all checked in October 2026. The headline numbers: the Free plan costs nothing and needs no card. Premium is the cheapest paid plan at $9.99 a month and, in two independent captures from August and September 2026, included 300 starting credits. Extra credits cost $9.99 per 100. In an independent 28-day test, a normal month cost $29.97: one month of Premium plus two 100-credit packs. Pro is $19.99 a month, and Ultimate is $34.99 a month or about $17 a month billed yearly.
This Nectar AI review is for adults who want a companion they can shape in detail, who enjoy story roleplay, and who like having pictures and short videos of the same character in one place. If that's you, the one thing to know before paying is how the money works: the subscription unlocks features, and credits pay for the actions that show a price, such as stronger models, paid memory options, extra voice, high-resolution images and video. Decide a monthly credit ceiling before you buy your first pack, check the price shown beside each button, and Nectar AI stays a $10 to $30 hobby rather than a surprise on your statement.
What is Nectar AI?
What is Nectar AI? In the company's own words, it's an adult AI companion platform for users 18 and over. You design a character, chat with it on one of six chat models, hear it in voice messages or calls, generate images and videos of it, and run fantasies or group chats with up to ten companions. It runs in the browser on desktop and phone, with no native app. The terms name Nectar AI at a Delaware registered address in Dover and Lick Labs Ltd in London. Plans run from $0 to $34.99 a month. The official sites are nectar.ai and the older trynectar.ai, which the company styles TryNectar.
How I tested Nectar AI
Every companion app I review goes through the same routine: the free plan first, then the cheapest paid plan for a month, the same three conversation scripts, a memory check spread across a week, the privacy policy read in full, and every price checked in the month I publish. This first version of my Nectar AI coverage is built on the official FAQ, docs, terms and privacy policy, plus two independent paid tests from August and September 2026. My own paid month goes into the next update.
- Plans checked: Free, Premium, Pro, Ultimate (monthly, plus Ultimate yearly) and the 100-credit pack
- Free plan: no card; character creator, AI chat and a limited image allowance, per the official FAQ
- Money spent: none, this version is documentation-based; paid figures come from two independent tests
- Documents read: FAQ, terms of use v2.2 (August 15, 2026), docs on chat models, memory, voice, images, video, group chats and help center FAQs, privacy policy, content removal and complaints policies
- Not confirmed: live prices behind the login, yearly totals, Ultimate's starting credits, credit rates for voice calls and video, the card statement descriptor
What Nectar AI gets right
Nectar AI's character builder goes further than most at this price
The builder is where Nectar AI earns its keep. You choose appearance, body type, ethnicity and outfit, pick personality archetypes, write a backstory and a speaking style, then add example dialogue so the model sees how your character talks instead of guessing. The docs give a useful rule: put key facts first and describe behavior rather than labels, so a character who uses dry humor to put people at ease gets better direction than one who is simply "funny". Ethnicity, hair, eyes and body type lock after creation, while age and the personality text stay editable, which keeps images consistent without freezing the character. Voices come from an official library or from your own generated voice. If you've ever watched a companion drift into generic small talk, this level of control is the fix.
Six Nectar AI chat models, switchable without starting over
Six models is more choice than I usually see at $9.99. Nectar Basic Model handles simple exchanges, Orchid Lite is story-focused, Fuchsia writes vivid, creative replies, DeepSeek V4 Flash mixes action and dialogue, Primrose goes for detailed, emotional writing and Orchid aims for natural, immersive conversation. Each model card shows four ratings (Consistency, Creativity, Descriptiveness, Memory) plus its price or plan limit, so you see the trade before you send. Independent testers in August and September 2026 praised writing that stays in character and doesn't keep handing every decision back to you. You can also set Long or Short replies, add custom instructions and tap Continue up to eight times in a row.
A Memory panel that lets you star what matters
Memory is where companion apps usually disappoint, and Nectar AI gives you real tools for it. In Chat Settings, the Memory panel has two switches, Enable Memory and Automatic Creation, plus custom memories of up to 200 characters each. Star up to 10 of them as High Importance and the companion treats them as priority facts: your character's name, a relationship status, a turning point in the story. Context windows grow with the plan, from 8K tokens on Premium to 16K on Pro and 64K on Ultimate. Archive keeps a conversation's memories, while Reset deletes them. For anyone running a long story, this is the difference between re-explaining yourself every evening and simply carrying on.
Fantasies, group chats, images and video in one account
Nectar AI is really two products sharing one login. Companion mode is the one-to-one chat; fantasies are ready-made story setups with a premise, a cast and a role for you, anything from a café scene to a stranded-on-an-island group story. Group chats hold up to ten companions, and only the messages you send count toward your message allowance, so a busy scene doesn't cost more because more characters reply. Choose speaker lets you decide who answers next, or leave it on Auto. Images and video come from the same companion you chat with, so you never need a separate tool. If you like variety in one evening, this setup gives you a lot for one subscription.
One email a week with price changes, credit costs and what each companion app really costs per month. Nothing else.
Where Nectar AI frustrated me
The plan unlocks features; credits pay for the actions
Every Nectar AI plan sits on top of a credit wallet. Credits pay for chat models with a displayed credit price, paid memory options, voice beyond your allowance, voice calls, custom-voice previews, Enhance, V3 images and video. In the August 2026 independent test, a standard message cost 1 credit, a stronger-model reply 2 to 3, a standard image 5 and a high-resolution image 10, and one image-heavy hour used 95 credits. The September capture adds that a renewal buys features, not credits, so the wallet doesn't refill on its own. A failed image still cost credits in testing, and the docs tell you to open a support ticket if that happens. The fix is simple: set a monthly credit ceiling, chat on the basic model for everyday talk and spend credits on the moments you care about.
Nectar AI memory lives inside one conversation
Nectar AI memories belong to the conversation where you saved them. Start a new conversation with the same companion and it begins without them, and Reset deletes them for good. Independent testers on the lower plans reported drift after roughly 50 to 100 turns, and the official FAQ itself says older exchanges may fade. In August 2026 one tester found no way to pin facts; the docs I read in October 2026 now describe the starred memories above, which I haven't tested myself yet. The workaround: keep one long conversation per storyline, store key facts as custom memories, star the ten that matter most and use Archive instead of Reset. If you treat each chat as a short scene, you won't notice the limit at all.
Video, voice calls and long-term memory sit on Ultimate
The help center says Ultimate adds long-term Memory, video generation and voice chat, and its video answer states that video is included in Ultimate. That plan costs $34.99 a month, or about $17 a month billed yearly (the yearly total wasn't captured), and voice calls are still charged by the minute on top of the subscription. Pro at $19.99 a month adds unlimited companion creation and a 16K context window, but the docs place video and voice chat on Ultimate. If you want Nectar AI mainly for text roleplay and pictures, Premium or Pro covers you well. If video and calls are the reason you're here, the yearly Ultimate plan is the better value once a month of Premium has convinced you.
The free plan is a short preview
Nectar AI's free plan needs no card, but it's thin. The official FAQ says it includes the character creator, AI chat and a limited number of image generations. Two independent captures from August and September 2026 measured about 15 messages and about 10 image generations a day, and both reported that they could build a companion on Free but not chat with it. I can't settle that contradiction without a fresh free account, so treat the free tier as a tour: build a companion, browse Discover, try a few community characters and test the image generator. Once you know you like the writing, one month of Premium at $9.99 is the cheapest real test, and it tells you far more than any free plan could.

| Platform | Best for | From | Pick it over Nectar AI if… | Where to start |

Who should actually use Nectar AI
Nectar AI is right for you if you enjoy building a character in detail and then living in a story with it. Long-form roleplayers get example dialogue, six models and starred memories; people who want variety get fantasies and group chats with up to ten companions; and if you want pictures of the same character, the image generator is built in. It also suits careful spenders, because Premium starts at $9.99 a month. The best way in is simple: start on the free plan, build one companion, then take a single month of Premium with a credit ceiling decided before you buy any pack.
If conversation depth and voice calls matter most, Kindroid is the stronger pick, and if you mainly want pictures, Candy AI's image consistency is hard to beat. If you'd rather have video and calls on one plan without a credit wallet in the way, OurDream AI bundles them at $19.99 a month. Before paying for Nectar AI, know that credits come on top of every plan and that memories don't carry into a new conversation. Go in with a monthly budget and one long conversation per story, and Nectar AI gives you a lot of control for the money.
None of the three combines what Nectar AI offers at its entry price: a builder with example dialogue and custom voices, six switchable chat models, group chats with up to ten companions and a Memory panel with starred memories, all from $9.99 a month.
Nectar AI pricing explained: Free, Premium, Pro, Ultimate and credits
Nectar AI pricing has two layers: a subscription that unlocks features, and credits for actions with a displayed price. Here is each piece, checked in October 2026.
What the Nectar AI free plan includes
The free plan needs no card. According to the official FAQ, it includes the character creator, AI chat and a limited number of image generations. Two independent captures from August and September 2026 put numbers on that: about 15 messages a day and about 10 image generations a day. Both testers also said they could build a companion on Free but not chat with it, which doesn’t match the FAQ. I’m reporting both. Use the free plan to explore the builder and Discover, not to judge a long story.
Nectar AI Premium, Pro and Ultimate
Nectar AI Premium costs $9.99 a month and, in both independent captures, included 300 starting credits. The FAQ says premium plans unlock unlimited messaging, extended memory, HD images, additional AI models and advanced customization. Premium’s context window is 8K tokens.
Nectar AI Pro costs $19.99 a month. The help center says Pro and higher plans support unlimited companion creation, and the docs give Pro a 16K context window.
Nectar AI Ultimate costs $34.99 a month, or about $17 a month on yearly billing; the yearly total wasn’t captured. Ultimate adds long-term Memory, video generation and voice chat, a 64K context window and the largest starting allowance. One detail: the FAQ’s general line lists video among premium features, while the help center places video in Ultimate. I’d go by the help center.
How Nectar AI credits work
Nectar AI credits are the in-app currency for paid actions. The help center lists them: chat models with a displayed credit price, paid Memory options, voice messages beyond your allowance, voice calls, custom-voice previews, Enhance, V3 and V3 2K images, and video generation and extensions.
| Action | Credits (independent test, August 2026) |
|---|---|
| Standard message | 1 |
| Reply from a stronger model | 2 to 3 |
| Standard image | 5 |
| High-resolution image | 10 |
| One 100-credit pack | $9.99 |
| Voice calls, video, Enhance | shown in the app, not captured |
The tester noted these costs may shift by model. Companion and fantasy modes draw from the same wallet, and the September capture found the renewal doesn’t top it up.
What a normal Nectar AI month costs
The 28-day independent test cost $29.97: one month of Premium plus two 100-credit packs. The September comparison projected about $30 a month on Premium with images and about $45 on Pro. Heavy daily users report $60 to $75 a month in credits on top. Compare it with other apps in my guide to what AI companions really cost per month. Set the ceiling first and Nectar AI stays one of the cheaper ways into this category.
Nectar AI characters, fantasies and group chats
Characters are the heart of Nectar AI, and the tools here are the main reason to choose it over simpler apps.
Building a Nectar AI girlfriend from scratch
The creator walks you through appearance, body type, ethnicity, outfit, personality traits and backstory, then lets you write a fully custom backstory and speaking style. The docs advise filling the Personality field with the character’s job, relationships, speech and behavior, key facts first. Example Dialogue shows the model how your character talks, and Additional Physical Traits records details the image generator should keep. Most characters are ready to chat within minutes, according to the FAQ.
Two rules are worth knowing. Ethnicity, hair, eyes and body type are fixed after creation, while age remains editable, so decide the look before you save. And the terms say image uploads in character creation are not permitted, so you build appearance from the creator’s options rather than a photo. You can then give your Nectar AI girlfriend a voice from the official library or generate a custom one. On Pro and higher, companion creation is unlimited. My step-by-step guide to creating an AI girlfriend covers the writing side in more depth.
Discover, personas and the NSFW toggle
Discover is a public library of community companions and fantasies, with Girls, Guys and Anime filters and an NSFW toggle that controls what the feed shows. That means a Nectar AI boyfriend is available today, even though the older About page still says boyfriends are coming soon. Public companions are reviewed before publication, and you can report any companion from Chat Settings.
The product has two modes. SFW mode filters explicit content; NSFW mode removes those filters for verified users aged 18 and over, and explicit roleplay is allowed there only between consenting adults. Personas are the identity you use in a conversation, so you can decide who you are in the story without retyping it each time.
Nectar AI fantasies and group chats
Nectar AI fantasies are story setups with a premise and a cast, where you step into a role. The docs suggest using the greeting to set the scene and Example Dialogue to show how the characters speak. Types range from quiet one-to-one scenes, such as a café meeting, to ensemble pieces like a stranded-on-an-island group story.
A group chat starts either from a fantasy with several companions or from Add Character in Chat Settings, which permanently turns that conversation into a group chat. Groups hold up to 10 companions. The Groups Only filter on Discover finds ready-made group fantasies, and Choose speaker in the message bar picks who replies, or leaves it on Auto. The best part for your budget: only the messages you send count toward your message allowance, and companion replies carry no separate charge. A crowded scene costs the same as a quiet one, which makes group chat one of the better-value features Nectar AI has.
Nectar AI chat, models, voice and memory
Conversation is Nectar AI’s strongest area, mostly thanks to the control you get over replies.
What Nectar AI chat feels like
Independent testers in August and September 2026 praised writing that stays in character and keeps scenes moving. Nectar AI supports English, German, Spanish and French. Under Chat Settings, Writing Style switches between Long and Short replies, and custom instructions let you set a target, for example a minimum of 800 characters per reply, treated as a target. If a reply stops short, Continue carries it on, up to eight times in a row.
The six Nectar AI models
| Model | Style (official docs) | Try it for |
|---|---|---|
| Nectar Basic Model | Simple, direct exchanges | Getting started, casual chat |
| Orchid Lite | Story-focused conversation | Developing a scene |
| Fuchsia | Vivid, creative replies | Creative roleplay |
| DeepSeek V4 Flash | Action mixed with dialogue | Dynamic roleplay |
| Primrose | Detailed, emotional writing | Nuanced characters and scenes |
| Orchid | Natural, immersive conversation | Character-focused roleplay |
Each Nectar AI model card rates Consistency, Creativity, Descriptiveness and Memory, and shows its price or plan limit. The Memory rating is about tracking recent conversation, not the Memory feature. To choose, the docs suggest sending the same scene to two models and comparing the replies.
Nectar AI voice messages and voice calls
A voice chip under each reply shows the audio length and plays the message. Chat Settings > Speech shows your allowance and pricing, and speech beyond the plan’s limit is a paid action. You can turn the narrator off to hear only dialogue, or pick Narrator Female or Narrator Male. The voice library has Official voices and Your Voices, and Generate Voice + creates a custom voice; previews of custom voices cost credits.
A Nectar AI voice call is a live spoken conversation you can interrupt, mute or end, with a transcript. Calls are charged by the minute, separately from your subscription. Independent testers called the voice present but unremarkable next to Kindroid’s calls. As an extra, it does the job well enough.
Nectar AI memory and context windows
Context is the amount of text the model can see when it writes. Nectar AI gives Premium 8K tokens, Pro 16K and Ultimate 64K, and the docs note there is no fixed number of messages per window: long descriptive scenes fill it faster.
Testers report drift after roughly 50 to 100 turns on lower plans, and the FAQ admits older exchanges may fade. Two more details: a new conversation starts without the old memories, and if a subscription ends, premium memory features become unavailable and stored chat history from premium tiers may become inaccessible. If memory is your single top priority, Nomi, a memory-first companion reviewed on this site, is worth a look. For everyone else, the Nectar AI memory panel used well covers most stories comfortably.
Nectar AI images and video generation
Pictures and clips of the companion you’re chatting with are built in, which saves you juggling a second app.
The Nectar AI image generator
You open the Nectar AI image generator from Generate in the navigation or from a chat. Every plan includes an image allowance, and your account shows which model versions it covers and the price of each paid generation. The V3 model works best with plain sentences, so describe the subject, outfit, action and setting the way you’d tell a friend. Enhance expands a rough prompt into a fuller one; check what it added and its displayed price before generating. On models that have it, the Icks field describes what you want left out, and older models also accept prompt weights. The FAQ adds that you can steer poses, outfits, lighting, settings and effects.
Independent testers in August and September 2026 reported images in about 40 seconds, with about four in five usable. In the August test, a standard image cost 5 credits and a high-resolution one 10, and a failed image still cost its credits, so a clear first prompt saves money. If image consistency is your main goal, compare this with my Candy AI review.
Keeping your companion consistent
The docs give three habits for a companion who looks the same every time. Use the same companion and keep your prompt consistent with the saved appearance. Check Additional Physical Traits, your customization tiles and any reference image for details that conflict. And start each prompt with a clear subject, outfit, action and setting. Generations run in the background while you chat, so if one seems stuck, look in your gallery before sending the same request again. If an error repeats, the docs ask you to stop retrying and contact support with the model, settings, error and time.
Nectar AI video generation on Ultimate
Nectar AI video generation is included in Ultimate. You open Generate and set the type to Video, then choose the Nectar Companion Model, which can place up to 10 companions in one video, or the Nectar Video Model, which works from a prompt alone. V3 adds sound and lets you pick a length of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds and a quality of 480p, 720p or 1080p. Extend Video lengthens a finished clip, except at 480p. You can also turn an image from your chat into a video, with High and Standard options.
Longer clips and higher resolutions show higher prices, and the credit rates for video weren’t captured in either independent test. A sensible approach is to try a 5-second clip at 720p first, then move up once you like the result. Used that way, video turns a favorite scene into something you can watch back.
Is Nectar AI safe? Privacy, company and payments
Is Nectar AI safe? It publishes clear rules, names its companies and leaves card data with its payment processor. Details below, read in October 2026.
Nectar AI company and legal details
The terms of use (version 2.2, revised August 15, 2026) name Nectar AI at 8 The Green, Suite R, Dover, Delaware, a registered address many Delaware companies use, and Lick Labs Ltd at 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, with phone 669-207-3026 and [email protected]. The privacy policy is titled Nectar AI, LLC Privacy Policy, and an independent August 2026 review dates the company to 2023. The terms require individual arbitration through JAMS, with a class-action waiver and a $50 liability cap. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing support within 30 days of signing up, if you’d rather keep the option of court.
What the Nectar AI privacy policy says
The policy dates from March 15, 2023 and was last updated January 28, 2026. Only an email address is required, plus a username and password at registration. The company also collects cookies, device and payment data, the content you create and possibly ID for identity checks. It says it does not sell, trade, rent or share your personal information for marketing without consent, while non-personal information may go to advertisers and other third parties, and data may transfer in a sale of the business.
The FAQ adds that chats and generated content are private, not shared with third parties and not used to train external AI models; note the word external. The pages I loaded include a Facebook tracking pixel. The policy does not list GDPR-style rights by name, but you can opt out of marketing, and account deletion is available on request through support or Discord. Nectar AI is not yet graded on my privacy scorecard. A dedicated email address covers most of the exposure.
Content rules and age limits
The FAQ says Nectar AI is strictly for adults 18 and over, with no parental-consent exception; the terms still mention SFW areas for under-18s, so I treat the FAQ as the operative rule. Prohibited content covers minors, non-consent, real people, copyrighted characters, professional-advice roleplay, hate speech and other harmful categories. Filters consider meaning, not just single words, with human review behind them. Violations bring removal, permanent bans and, in the worst cases, law enforcement. If a message is flagged by mistake, tap Appeal; replies take three to five business days. My guide to whether AI companion apps are safe puts these rules in context.
Payments, renewals and refunds
The FAQ says payments are encrypted and Nectar does not store your sensitive financial details; the terms name NMI as the website’s payment gateway, and the footer shows Visa, Mastercard, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana logos. Subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel in Profile > Settings > Subscription and Credits, by email or on Discord; access lasts until the period ends. The current period isn’t refunded, and section 4.6 makes fees non-refundable except where the law requires, with case-by-case exceptions. No official page states the card statement descriptor. Cancel a day before renewal and you never pay for a period you don’t want.
Nectar AI app, website, login and support
Getting in is easy once you know which address is real.
Nectar AI official website
The Nectar AI official website is nectar.ai, and trynectar.ai opens the same product and the same account; the terms name both as the site. TryNectar is how the company styled the older domain, and you’ll still see it in links and on social profiles. The documentation lives in the official docs, which is the most practical help resource I found for any companion app this year.
The Nectar AI app: browser only
There is no native Nectar AI app for iOS or Android. The help center says Nectar runs in your browser on desktop and mobile, and you can add it to your home screen: on iPhone, open it in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen; on Android, open it in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen. The terms still contain Apple App Store clauses from an earlier app. In the App Store, “Nectar Companion AI” comes from an individual developer and is not this product, so skip look-alikes and use nectar.ai in your browser.
Nectar AI login
You sign up with an email address, a username and a password. If you can’t log in, the FAQ suggests checking your email and password and using the reset link on the login page. The docs add three practical fixes: refresh the page, try turning off your VPN, and if Brave shows a black screen on mobile, switch to Chrome or Safari. Clearing cookies for the site signs you out, so keep your password handy.
Support, appeals and reputation
Support runs through the #get-support-now channel on the Nectar AI Discord, which the FAQ calls the fastest route, and through [email protected]. Include your username, plan, the exact error and the time. For outages, the help center points to Discord, and the FAQ also mentions a status page. The complaints policy promises acknowledgment and resolution within five business days, and appeals get a reply within three to five. The nectar.ai profile on Trustpilot shows “This profile has been removed” and I couldn’t read the trynectar.ai profile, so there’s no score to report. The site footer links to official Discord and Reddit communities, and the detailed docs mean you’ll rarely need to ask. To see how Nectar AI compares with the rest of the field, my ranking of NSFW AI chat apps is the place to start.
Nectar AI: frequently asked questions
What is Nectar AI?
Nectar AI is an adult AI companion platform for users 18 and over. You build a character with appearance, personality, backstory and voice, then use Nectar AI chat on one of six models, add voice messages or calls, generate images and video, and run fantasies or group chats with up to ten companions. It runs in the browser at nectar.ai, with plans from $0 to $34.99 a month (checked October 2026).
Is Nectar AI free?
Yes, there's a Free plan with no card required. The official FAQ says it includes the character creator, AI chat and a limited number of image generations. Independent captures from August and September 2026 measured about 15 messages and 10 images a day, and both testers said they couldn't chat with their own companion on Free. Use it as a tour, then try Premium at $9.99 a month.
How much does Nectar AI cost?
Nectar AI pricing, from independent captures in August and September 2026 and checked in October 2026: Premium $9.99 a month with 300 starting credits, Pro $19.99 a month, Ultimate $34.99 a month or about $17 a month billed yearly. Credits cost $9.99 per 100. A normal month in a 28-day independent test was $29.97. I'd start with one month of Premium and a credit ceiling.
Is Nectar AI safe and legit?
For this Nectar AI review I read the terms and privacy policy in full. Nectar AI names Nectar AI at a Dover, Delaware registered address and Lick Labs Ltd in London, keeps chats private, says it doesn't use them to train external models, and doesn't store your card details. Renewals are automatic and the current period isn't refunded, so cancel before your renewal date if you're done.
Does Nectar AI have an app?
No. There's no native iOS or Android app; Nectar AI runs in the browser on desktop and phone, and you can add it to your home screen. The official websites are nectar.ai and trynectar.ai, and the brand is often typed nectarai in search. "Nectar Companion AI" in the App Store is from an individual developer and is not this product.
How good is Nectar AI's memory?
Better than most on paper. Nectar AI has automatic and custom memories (200 characters each), up to 10 starred memories, and context windows of 8K, 16K and 64K tokens on Premium, Pro and Ultimate. Memories don't carry into a new conversation, and testers report drift after 50 to 100 turns on lower plans. Keep one conversation per story and star key facts.
What are Nectar AI credits and what do they buy?
Nectar AI credits are a balance for paid actions: credit-priced chat models, paid memory options, extra voice, voice calls, custom-voice previews, Enhance, V3 images and video. In an August 2026 test, a message cost 1 credit, a stronger-model reply 2 to 3, an image 5 and a high-resolution image 10. Packs cost $9.99 per 100, and renewals don't refill the wallet.
What are the best Nectar AI alternatives?
For Nectar AI vs Candy AI, pick Candy AI ($13.99 a month) if consistent images matter most. For Nectar AI vs Kindroid, pick Kindroid ($13.99 a month on the web) for stronger conversation, an editable memory journal and no in-app currency. OurDream AI ($19.99 a month) bundles video and voice calls. Nectar AI wins on builder depth, six models and its $9.99 entry price.
The verdict: is Nectar AI worth it?
What Nectar AI does best is let you build exactly the companion you have in mind and then keep it on track, and that's why Nectar AI earns 6.8 out of 10. Memory gets 7: the Memory panel with custom and starred memories and a 64K window on Ultimate are real tools, held back by memories that stay in one conversation and reported drift on lower plans. Conversation gets 8 for six switchable models, example dialogue and writing that testers say stays in character. Pricing gets 6, because $9.99 is a low entry but credits sit on top of every plan and video lives on Ultimate. Privacy gets 6: clear private-by-default promises and no training on external models, balanced by advertiser sharing of non-personal data and no named GDPR-style rights.
How to start: open a free account and build one companion carefully, using example dialogue and a few custom memories. If you like the writing, take one month of Premium at $9.99 and decide your credit ceiling before you buy a pack; $20 a month in credits, or two packs, is a sensible cap that matches the independent test month of $29.97 in total. Stick to the basic model for everyday chat and spend credits on stronger replies and images you care about. Move to Ultimate, ideally on yearly billing at about $17 a month, only if you want video, voice calls and the 64K context. Set up that way, a Nectar AI girlfriend or story companion is one of the most rewarding builds you can get for the money.
The quickest way to test Nectar AI is the free plan: build one companion, open a fantasy and generate a few images before you spend anything. If you'd like to see how it compares with every other option, my ranking of NSFW AI chat apps covers the whole field.
