Uncensored AI is the most searched phrase in this category and the least precise one. Roughly 21,000 people a month type it into Google in the US, and they mean at least three different things: a companion that will not lecture them, a character library where adult roleplay is the norm, or a raw language model with no safety layer at all. I have been paying for adult chat platforms with my own card since 2022, after six years of testing mobile games for a living, and the nine platforms below are the ones where the word 'uncensored' survived contact with the terms of service, the checkout page and a long conversation.
The order here is deliberately different from our NSFW AI chat apps ranking. That page weighs conversation, memory, pricing honesty and privacy against each other. This page asks one question first: how far does the text chat actually go, according to the platform's own written rules and the consistent reports of the people who use it, and only then asks how good it is. That is why Janitor AI and Chub AI, which lose to SpicyChat on polish, sit at the top, and why Kalon and Swipey, which I like for other reasons, sit at the bottom.
Every platform was run through the protocol on the How we test page: a fresh account on a throwaway email, the free tier first, then the cheapest paid plan, three fixed conversation scripts including a boundary test that pushes toward each platform's published limits, a memory check across a week, and the privacy policy and terms read in full. I do not report message counts or dates from my own sessions because I cannot prove them to you; I report what the documentation says and what users consistently describe, and I say where the two disagree.
Money, before the ranking: CrushOn.ai, Nastia, SpicyChat, Uncensy, Secrets, Kalon and Swipey all run affiliate programs, and the CrushOn.ai and Nastia links on this page pay me a commission if you subscribe. Janitor AI and Chub AI pay nobody and finish first and second. That is the reason I can be specific about what the commission-paying platforms do badly, and there is an affiliate disclosure page if you want the mechanics.
Quick answer
Janitor AI is the best uncensored AI chat platform for most adults in September 2026 if the point is the fewest rules: unlimited free chat on its own JanitorLLM model, a $12.99 Janitor+ plan for five times the context, any model you bring yourself, and a rulebook that bans minors, incest, bestiality and real-world tragedies and not much else. Chub AI is the pick if you want to own the model and just borrow the character sheet. CrushOn.ai ($58.88 a year, about $4.91 a month) is the loosest mainstream app with a real interface, at the cost of an F privacy grade. Nastia AI ($15.99 a month) is the best uncensored companion: no toggle, no hedging, B privacy grade. Rules and prices checked on each platform's own pages on September 22, 2026.

Janitor AI is the Reddit consensus answer to 'which uncensored AI has the fewest rules', and after reading its help centre from end to end I agree with Reddit. The site is an enormous library of user-made characters, most of them adult, chatted through Janitor's own hosted model (JanitorLLM, or JLLM) for free with no message cap, or through any API key or proxy you bring yourself. The help centre states that the services are 'exclusively intended for an audience above the age of 18', and beyond that the list of things it will not let you write is the shortest on this page.
That list, from the content-guidelines category of the official help centre: no underage personas 'under all circumstances', no sexual or romantic content between blood-related family members, no sexual content involving real animals or feral creatures, no non-consent per the help centre's own summary, no content celebrating real-world violence or tragedies, no harassment or discrimination even framed as humour, and copyrighted characters removed on a rights holder's request. Violence, torture, suicide and self-harm are allowed 'in serious narrative contexts' with content warnings, which almost nothing else on this list permits, and the guidelines add that content 'may be removed at moderation discretion'. There is no NSFW toggle to find; adult roleplay between adult fictional characters is simply what the platform is for.
The price of that freedom is the model. Free JLLM has a context limit of around 9,000 tokens, the prose repeats itself, and a long scene loses its beginning; users report it constantly and my long-roleplay script hit the same wall. Janitor+ launched on June 24, 2026 at $12.99 a month, monthly only, billed through Stripe on the web or through the app stores, and buys five times the context on JLLM, priority replies and a monthly allowance of enhanced swipes on stronger models. The announcement states the free version stays exactly as it was. Experienced users mostly run Janitor with a proxy to DeepSeek or another provider, which independent testers put at $2 to $3 a month for heavy use and which improves the writing beyond recognition.
There are no generated images (only links to externally hosted pictures, and those must depict 'clearly and unmistakably' adult fictional characters), no voice, and no memory beyond the context window. That is fine for what it is. What is less fine is the paperwork: JanitorAI does not name a legal entity on any page I could reach, its main site blocks automated readers, and its privacy position depends on which model you use, because a proxy sends every message to a third party whose policy, not Janitor's, governs the data. No affiliate program exists, so this entry is a plain link and nothing on this site earns from it.
Who it is for: anyone who wants uncensored roleplay with the fewest written rules, does not need pictures or a companion that remembers last month, and will either accept a weak free model or spend an evening setting up an API key. If you want one companion rather than a library, skip to Nastia.
2. Chub AI: Uncensored character cards, your own model

Chub AI, formerly Venus Chub, is the platform whose own documentation comes closest to the words people type into Google. It describes itself as uncensored and states that 'we do not restrict in any meaningful capacity the variety of characters that are allowed to be posted on the platform nor the type of interactions you are allowed to have with said characters'. It is a searchable repository of character cards, lorebooks and extensions with a built-in chat, an NSFW/SFW toggle that starts on the uncensored side, support for outside APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic, and compatibility with third-party front ends like SillyTavern. It is adults-only.
Second rather than first for two reasons. The first is that the sentence quoted above is nearly the whole public rulebook I could read: the terms of service and privacy policy at chub.ai/tos and chub.ai/privacy were behind a Cloudflare block on the day I checked, so I cannot quote a retention period, a legal entity, or exactly where the platform draws its lines beyond the illegal-content, real-person and minor prohibitions that independent reviews describe. The second is quality: independent reviewers and Reddit threads in 2026 describe a platform losing users to bugs and slow updates, and its free hosted models are the weakest on this page.
Pricing is the other thing I could not confirm on an official page. Two independent reviews updated in August and September 2026 agree on the structure: Mercury at $5 a month for models up to 13B (Mistral 7B, MythoMax 13B), 8K context and basic images; Mars at $20 a month for larger models (Soji 671B, Asha 70B, Mixtral 8x7B), unlimited voice and media and early access; both billed as a mandatory four-month block, so about $20 or $80 upfront, with no annual discount. Users report the card charge appearing as 'Postcron.com'. Treat all of that as unconfirmed until the subscription page renders.
The free tier is the honest way to use Chub: the full card library, card creation and export, rotating free hosted models with daily caps, and the option to plug in your own API key or a local model, at which point the per-message cost is whatever your provider charges and the filter is whatever your model has. That last point is the reason Chub sits this high: paired with a local model, it is as close to genuinely unfiltered chat as a hosted website gets, because the website is only holding the character sheet.
Do not paste anything identifying into a card or a chat here until the privacy policy can be read, and prefer your own API key over the hosted models if you care where the text goes. No affiliate program; plain link.
3. CrushOn.ai: Loosest mainstream app with a real interface

CrushOn.ai is the loosest of the polished, app-shaped platforms here, and the one that absorbed most of the Character.AI exodus after the filter wars, which is why its library of tens of thousands of user-made characters is so heavily adult. NSFW lives behind a toggle that is off by default and, once on, the chat lets adult content through with few restrictions; independent reviewers describe moderation as light, with users largely self-policing. The written rules ban content involving minors, non-consensual and real-person sexual material, bestiality and gore, and a July 2025 policy update tightened the rules on uploading images of real, identifiable people.
It is also the cheapest paid plan on this page that delivers. Standard is $58.88 a year (about $4.91 a month) for 2,000 message credits a month on the better models and unlimited use of the basic ones; Premium is $94.88 a year (about $7.91 a month) for 6,000 credits; above that sit Luxe, Elite and Imperial at roughly $300, $800 and $1,800 a year for people who want tens of thousands of credits, plus a Pro Chat Package add-on at $24.99 a month. Free is about 100 credits a month plus the basic models, with replies capped at 225 characters. A monthly Standard price does not appear on the page I could open and third-party sites quote around $5.99, so I treat the annual figure as the only confirmed one.
The conversation is where it loses to Nastia and to SpicyChat's paid tiers: reply caps of 225 to 325 characters depending on plan make the characters terse, the basic models repeat themselves in long scenes, and the interface is the busiest of the nine, with credits, models, inspiration replies and packages all competing for attention. The 2026 memory upgrade that extended recall past 100 messages on the higher tiers is real; on Standard my long-roleplay script drifted about as far as SpicyChat's free tier did.
Privacy is why it is third and not first among the hosted apps. It scores an F (34) on our privacy scorecard: chat contents are used 'for training our models' with no opt-out, deletion is by email request only, no retention period is stated, and Mozilla's researchers counted dozens of trackers firing in the first minute of use. TECHIEPIE LTD of Nicosia, Cyprus is the operator, Hong Kong law governs disputes, and the charge appears on your statement as subscribestar.com. The terms say usage fees are not refunded and a missed cancellation is not refunded either.
The button above pays me a commission through CrushOn.ai's official program, and I would still tell a privacy-conscious reader to pick Nastia over it. If the filter is your only criterion and you can live with an F on privacy, this is the loosest chat you can get for under five dollars a month.
4. Nastia AI: Best uncensored companion, no toggle

Nastia AI is the most convincingly uncensored companion I have tested, and the first entry on this list that is a companion rather than a library. You build one character from scratch (name, look, a trait system built around the seven deadly sins, backstory, voice), and the model does not flinch, redirect or deliver the 'as an AI' speech that Character.AI and Replika refugees are fleeing. There is no NSFW toggle because there is nothing to switch on. Nastia Cybernetics, a small French company, runs it as a web app you install as a PWA, and it scored 6.8 in our full review.
The written limits are the ones you would expect from a company that publishes compliance and age-verification pages: anyone under 18, including 'aged-up' characters, real identifiable people, non-consent, incest, bestiality and extreme violence, with automated systems screening requests against those rules and the terms (revised September 16, 2026) confirming termination without refund. Inside those lines Nastia does not interrupt, which in my boundary script made it the only companion app here where the filter never fired on a tame scene.
Pricing is a token meter with an unlimited escape hatch. Free is a daily token allowance (about 200 tokens a day per the plan card independent reviewers quote, which Nastia does not confirm on a public page), enough for a real text conversation and not enough for images at 50 to 80 tokens each. Basic is about $11.99 a month or $7.33 a month billed yearly; Unlimited is $15.99 a month or about $8.33 a month billed yearly, removes the message cap and adds 4K selfies, 1080p video and voice. The Basic and annual figures come from checkout reports rather than a public page, and the plans have been renamed several times, so the checkout is the only authority.
Two honest warnings. Memory is a rolling window, not the persistent memory the marketing implies: older details drop out silently, 'it forgot everything' is the top complaint on Trustpilot (2.2 out of 5), and the fix is saving what matters to the companion's notes. And billing complaints (annual charges users expected to be monthly, slow support, a strict no-refund policy the terms confirm) are frequent enough that the review recommends paying monthly until you trust it. Group chat, with several companions holding their own personalities in one room, is the feature nobody else on this page matches.
Privacy is a B (72), tied with Kindroid at the top of our scorecard: every chat, image and video deletable at any time, the company and jurisdiction named in the policy itself, and one vague clause about using data to improve companion replies with no opt-out. SpicyChat is the platform I recommend most often on the NSFW list, and it sits fifth here, which tells you the difference between the two rankings. The filter is genuinely off for consenting adult fiction, the community library is the largest in the category, and the free tier (about 100 messages a day, 180-token replies, a 4,096-token window, ads and a peak-hour queue) is a real product rather than a demo. NextDay AI of Montreal has run it since 2023. But its community guidelines are the longest and most specific on this page, and some independent reviewers describe the filters tightening since mid-2024.
What the guidelines say, in their own words: 'All narratives must involve individuals aged 18 or older'; 'No bot should depict, promote, or involve in any non-consensual actions, even in fictional settings'; incestuous relationships are 'strictly prohibited'; chatbots based on 'real, private, or lesser-known individuals' are prohibited; edited photographs of real people including deepfakes are 'prohibited under all circumstances'; and 'mixing extreme violence with sexual content is strictly prohibited'. Non-compliance 'may lead to account suspension or even termination', and sex-trafficking content means immediate termination. NSFW between adults is allowed when marked. That is a fair rulebook, and it is also more rules than Janitor AI, Chub or CrushOn.ai enforce.
Pricing went up on September 8, 2026. Get a Taste is $5.95 a month ($60 a year) and removes the ads and the queue but leaves the context window where it was. True Supporter is $19.95 a month ($199.95 a year) and is the tier that matters for long scenes: 8,192-token context, Semantic Memory 2.0, 300-token replies, image generation and a choice of more than twenty models. I'm All In is $29.95 ($299.95 a year) for 32,768 tokens and text-to-speech. Existing subscribers keep their old price until they change plan, per the docs. The iOS app is a SFW build; the adult version is the web and Android app.
Privacy is a D (43): no stated retention period, per-chat deletion not described in the policy, and a perpetual, irrevocable licence to your chats 'for any purpose' in the terms. The community guidelines are also the clearest of the nine about what stays banned with the filter off, which I count in its favour even though it costs it places in this particular ranking.
Who it is for: people who want variety over one relationship, want it free, and are fine with a filter that is off in practice but comes with a rulebook that names its limits. It has an official affiliate program; this entry is a plain link because I am not putting a button on a fifth-place entry.
6. Uncensy: Cheapest unlimited uncensored chat, five weeks old

Uncensy launched on August 18, 2026, which makes it five weeks old on the day I write this, and it is on the list because it does the basics of an uncensored companion properly: 18+ verification at signup, published plan prices on the home page, a privacy policy with a named company, no toggle to find, and unlimited uncensored chat for $7.99 a month, which undercuts everything above it except CrushOn.ai's annual plan. Treat this as a first look; the full review is on its way.
Rules, from the terms dated the day I checked: minors, harassment, impersonation and bots are banned, the platform is 18+ only, and credits are non-refundable except where the law requires. The terms are shorter than SpicyChat's and do not spell out non-consent or real people as separate categories the way Nastia and Kalon do, which I read as a young company that has not yet written down what it enforces rather than one that has decided to allow it. In use, adult scenes between adult characters ran without interruption, consistent with the no-filters positioning on the site.
Pricing: Free is 40 messages a day, one companion slot and 40 welcome diamonds with no card. Spark is $7.99 a month for five slots, unlimited chat and 50 diamonds a month; Blaze is $14.99 a month for ten slots, 150 diamonds, priority support and early features, a price that appears on the affiliate page rather than the public pricing panel. Annual plans exist but the amounts render only inside the app. Diamonds pay for images, voice messages, live calls, video and purchases on a companion marketplace, and the per-item rates are also in-app only, so the chat-only price is the only number I can stand behind.
Conversation quality is decent rather than distinctive: persona, mood and chat history are fed into every prompt, which keeps a companion consistent across a scene, but the memory is the ordinary in-window kind rather than the structured memory Secrets AI builds. The company story is muddled: the privacy policy names AVERIQ LTD (HE484390) in Nicosia, Cyprus; the terms name Uncensy Inc. with arbitration in San Francisco. Not disqualifying for a company this new, but something I re-check monthly.
Privacy facts, since it is not graded yet: personal data is deleted within 30 days of a request and backups within 90; the policy does not say whether chats train models, which is a gap; there is no end-to-end encryption, and the safety page says so instead of pretending otherwise. Uncensy runs a 40 percent recurring affiliate program; this entry links to our review rather than through a button, because I do not send readers to a five-week-old platform with one.
7. Secrets AI: Uncensored in stages, discreet, memory you can see

Secrets AI is uncensored in stages, which is why it sits in the middle of this list and near the top of the NSFW one (7.1 in our review, the highest of the five platforms we have fully reviewed). You choose a Spice Level (Mild, Medium, Spicy) per companion, adult chat and image and video generation are all allowed on an adults-only platform, and the most permissive chat mode, S4, is an Ultimate-tier feature at $39.99 a month. Secret Labs Inc. of Dover, Delaware runs it, web-only, with a dated changelog and a wiki that explains every limit in tables.
The rules: automated safety checks block content involving minors, self-harm or violence, and characters based on real people are deleted without refund. The age gate is a checkbox rather than verification. That is a tighter net than Janitor AI or CrushOn.ai cast, and in practice the Spicy level plus S4 goes as far as most people want; the difference is that you opt in twice, once with the slider and once with your wallet.
Pricing starts at $19.99 a month for Premium ($49.99 a quarter, $89.99 for six months, $109.99 a year) with 8,000 Moments a month; Ultimate is $39.99 a month or $319.99 a year with 15,000 Moments, group chats with up to three characters, personas, proactive messages and S4. The $9.99 Plus plan is retired and remaining members are being migrated to Premium. Moments meter everything beyond text: 50 per image, 600 per adult video, 50 per minute of a call, 500 for a second custom character, with no rollover. Free is 20 of your own messages a day plus 200 Moments once, and free users cannot top up.
What it does better than anything above it: discretion and memory. No name at signup, a neutral S LABS INC line on the card, crypto accepted, call audio deleted immediately after transcription, and a memory panel where you can see what was saved, ranked high, medium or low, and correct or delete it. Privacy is a C (68): chat history deleted immediately on account deletion, transaction records kept seven years, but chats are used to 'train and improve our AI models' with no opt-out, and the homepage's end-to-end encryption claim is not repeated by the policy, which describes AES-256 at rest and TLS in transit.

Kalon AI treats 'uncensored' as something you switch on rather than something you are dropped into, and I rank it eighth for exactly the reason I like it. The default is a PG-13 companion mode with NSFW off; you move consent sliders before the conversation starts and can move them any time, and the companion actually respects them. On my boundary script the character stayed romantic without drifting explicit until I moved the slider, which is rarer than it should be. Kalon, LLC of Carson City, Nevada launched it in 2024, it runs in the browser only, and it scored 7.0 in our review.
Once the sliders are up, the explicit mode is real and the rules are the standard set: minors or youth-coded characters, real people, non-consent and a short list of extreme categories are banned, warnings precede bans, and age is verified at signup. What Kalon adds that nobody else here does is emotional memory: the model carries tone, boundaries and story direction across sessions, so a limit you set in week one is still there in week two without restating it.
Pricing is one coin balance. Free is 50 coins a day, refilled without a card, images included. Monthly is $19.97 for 16,000 coins with video and audio; yearly is $119.64, which is $9.97 a month for 200,000 coins and bundles the voice, images and video that Secrets AI meters separately. The catch is that no official page publishes what a message, an image or a video deducts in coins, so you learn by watching the balance drop. The terms offer no refunds.
Privacy is a C (57), and the finding I most want a buyer to know is that the home page promises 'encrypted explicit chat' while the privacy policy (dated February 4, 2026) makes no encryption claim at all. Retention is 'as long as reasonably necessary', deletion is by request, and the terms say input and output 'may be used to train', with no opt-out. The browse page also shows explicit character cards before you have touched a slider, which undercuts the consent-first pitch. 9. Swipey AI: No filter beyond the law, but all of it behind Premium

Swipey AI closes the list because 'uncensored' on Swipey is a paid feature inside a product built like a mobile game. The help centre states there are no content filters on chat, images or video beyond legal limits: adults only, nothing involving minors, nothing illegal, no deepfakes of real people without consent. On paper that is a looser policy than Kalon's or Secrets AI's. But uncensored images, voice, video scenes, relationship progression and even chatting with the custom character you just built all need Premium at $7.99 a month, so the free tier is a shop window and the uncensored part starts at the checkout. INVAI LTD of Nicosia, Cyprus launched it in December 2024, and it scored 6.1 in our review, the lowest of the five we have fully tested.
The product is a TikTok-style feed of platform models, verified adult creators paired with an AI persona that chats for them, and custom characters you build. Chat quality is fine for the first evening and repetitive after that, with a drift into short lowercase texting shorthand even when you set a scene, and no control over the model. Level-up gifts arrive by a spinning card with Common, Rare and Legendary rarities, which tells you who built it.
Premium includes 200 Hearts a month; voice calls are then billed per minute in Hearts, video extensions and creator content cost Hearts, and the per-minute rate is shown once, before your first call, and nowhere in the help centre. Our real-monthly-cost guide's heavy profile lands somewhere between $210 and $250 on top of the $7.99, with the rate unconfirmed. Three-month and twelve-month prices exist but render only after login. Terms v3.0 (August 2026) say all purchases are final except where the law requires.
Signup is an email and a magic link, the card descriptor is neutral, and cancelling and deleting are self-serve, all of which I wish the platforms above it copied. Privacy is a D (52) for one clause: the policy keeps your data for six years after you stop being a user. Training use is not addressed. No platform on this page is uncensored in the dictionary sense, and the nine differ less in what they ban than in how you get to the adult part: Janitor AI, Chub AI, Nastia and Uncensy drop you straight in with no switch; CrushOn.ai and SpicyChat put a toggle or a blur setting between you and the adult library; Secrets AI and Kalon make you opt in with a slider, and Secrets charges extra for its loosest mode; Swipey makes the whole thing a Premium feature. Every one of them writes down a set of hard limits, and every set includes minors. Three designs: no switch, a toggle, and sliders
The no-switch platforms (Janitor AI, Chub AI, Nastia, Uncensy) are the ones people mean when they search for uncensored AI, and they are also the ones where the platform’s written rules do the most work, because there is no software layer catching a scene before it starts. Janitor and Chub enforce after the fact, by removing characters and banning accounts; Nastia says it screens requests automatically against its list; Uncensy’s terms are the shortest and its enforcement the least documented, which is what you would expect five weeks after launch. The toggle platforms (CrushOn.ai, SpicyChat) are libraries where the toggle is really a browsing preference: it hides adult characters from the front page, and the rules underneath are the same whether it is on or off. The slider platforms (Secrets AI, Kalon) are companions that ask how far you want to go before you start, and in both cases the slider is respected, which the Kalon review and the Secrets review both confirm. Swipey is its own case: the help centre says there are no filters beyond the law, and the product then puts every uncensored feature behind the $7.99 Premium plan.
What all nine still ban, and why that matters
Minors are banned everywhere, and on every platform that publishes an enforcement policy the penalty is termination without refund. Non-consent is banned explicitly on seven of the nine (Janitor, CrushOn.ai, Nastia, SpicyChat, Kalon, and by implication through ‘anything illegal’ on Swipey and ‘violence’ on Secrets), and only Uncensy’s terms fail to name it. Real people are banned on eight, with SpicyChat going furthest by prohibiting bots based on ‘lesser-known individuals’ as well as public figures. Incest is named on Janitor, Nastia and SpicyChat. Violence mixed with sexual content is named on SpicyChat and, in effect, on Secrets and Kalon. The practical consequence is that the ranking above is a ranking of how much the platform gets in the way inside the permitted space, not a ranking of what is permitted, because the permitted space is nearly identical everywhere: adult fiction between adult characters. A platform advertising more than that is telling you something about its moderation, and I left two such platforms off this list on purpose, as explained on the NSFW AI chat apps page and in our editorial policy.
Uncensored AI chat vs uncensored AI models: which one you are looking for
The search term mixes three different products, and this page ranks the first two. Companion chat is one character you build and talk to over weeks, with memory, voice and images bolted on: Nastia, Uncensy, Secrets AI, Kalon and Swipey are that product, and so is Kindroid, which is not here because its adult writing is deliberately restrained. Character roleplay is a library of thousands of user-made character cards you browse and chat with, usually for a scene rather than a relationship: Janitor AI, Chub AI, CrushOn.ai and SpicyChat are that product, and they are the ones most people who left Character.AI over its filter end up on. The third thing, a raw uncensored model, is neither: it is the engine itself with no character, no memory and no company rules, reached through an API, a hosted playground like Venice, or a local app like HammerAI.
Companion chat: one character, built by you
If the thing you want is a relationship that goes somewhere, with a companion who remembers that you hate mornings and that you set a boundary last Tuesday, you want the companion column, and the honest ranking inside it is Nastia for how far it goes, Kalon for how well it remembers, Secrets AI for discretion and images, Uncensy for price, and Swipey for a feed rather than a companion. All five let you define the character; none of them gives you a library worth browsing. The trade-off against the roleplay libraries is depth for variety: a companion you build takes twenty minutes and feels like yours, while a library card takes twenty seconds and feels like someone else’s fan fiction. Character roleplay: libraries of cards
If the thing you want is a scenario tonight and a different one tomorrow, you want a library, and the four here rank Janitor AI, Chub AI, CrushOn.ai and SpicyChat in that order for how little the platform interferes, and in roughly the reverse order for polish. Janitor and Chub are hobbyist tools that expect you to bring a model and tolerate a rough interface; CrushOn.ai and SpicyChat are consumer products with queues, credits and tiers, and Joyland, which is not on this list, is what happens when a consumer product keeps the filter on. Cards are portable between them to a degree: Chub is the repository the others quietly depend on, and the Character.AI alternatives list explains which library suits which kind of refugee.
Raw models: Venice, HammerAI and local LLMs
A raw model is what the roleplay libraries are running underneath, and you can rent or run one yourself. Venice AI is the best-known hosted option: it serves open-source models it describes as offering ‘a truly uncensored AI experience’, says that ‘all data stays on your device, not our servers’, and prices at Free (10 text prompts and 15 image prompts a day), Pro at $18 a month for unlimited text, then Pro Plus and Max at $68 and $200 a month, per its own page on September 22, 2026. HammerAI is the local and private option: a free desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux that runs open models through Ollama, with ‘your messages not saved anywhere but your computer by default’, plus optional cloud tiers (Free with 600 cloud messages a day at 8,192 context, then Starter $9, Advanced $18 and Ultimate $35 a month for bigger context and more models). A local model has no company rules at all; it also has no characters, no memory system, no images unless you build a pipeline, and the writing quality of whatever 7B or 13B model your laptop can hold, which is why I do not rank models against chat platforms. If you want raw, run it yourself; if you want a companion, pay one of the nine above.
Which one to pick
Pick a companion (Nastia first) if you will talk to the same character for weeks and want it to remember. Pick a library (Janitor AI first, SpicyChat if you want polish) if you want scenes and variety. Pick a model (HammerAI locally, Venice hosted) only if you already know what a context window is and privacy outranks everything else, because you will be giving up memory, images and an interface to get it. Almost everyone searching for uncensored AI wants one of the first two, which is why they are what this page ranks.
Free tiers: what $0 buys on each platform
Janitor AI, Chub AI and SpicyChat are the three platforms here where the free tier is a product rather than a demo, and on all three the adult chat is fully available at $0. What differs is the quality of the free model and how it runs out.
Janitor AI: unlimited messages on JLLM with about 9K context and no images. It never runs out; it just writes worse than the paid alternatives, and the fix (a $2 to $3 a month proxy) is cheaper than any subscription on this page.
Chub AI: the full card library, card creation and export, rotating hosted models with daily caps, or your own API key at your provider’s price. The caps are the limit; the key removes them.
SpicyChat: about 100 messages a day, 180-token replies, a 4,096-token window, ads and a peak-hour queue that independent testers put at five to fifteen minutes. The queue is what $5.95 buys you out of.
Nastia AI: a daily token allowance (about 200, unconfirmed) that covers a real text conversation and one or two images at 50 to 80 tokens each. Text is the free product; media is the meter.
Uncensy: 40 messages a day, one companion slot and 40 welcome diamonds, no card. Enough to judge the writing, not enough to live on.
Kalon AI: 50 coins a day refilled without a card, images included, PG-13 until you move the sliders. Generous by companion-app standards.
CrushOn.ai: about 100 credits a month for the better models plus unlimited basic models with 225-character replies. The basic models are the free product and they repeat themselves.
Secrets AI: 20 of your own messages a day plus 200 Moments once, and free users cannot buy more. A trial, not a product.
Swipey AI: browsing, character creation and a few messages with public characters; no chat with your own custom character, no uncensored images, no voice. A shop window.
The honest summary: if you want free and uncensored, use Janitor AI and accept the prose, or SpicyChat off-peak and accept the short replies, or Chub with a key you already pay for. Every companion-app free tier here is designed to run out, and the ones that run out most gracefully (Kalon, Uncensy, Nastia) refill daily without asking for a card. Is uncensored AI safe to use?
Uncensored AI is safe to use in the sense that matters least and unsafe in the sense that matters most: the model will not hurt you, but the company can read everything you typed, several of them train on it, none of the nine encrypts it end to end, and the two loosest platforms are the two whose privacy documents I could not fully read. Before you type anything
Sign up with an address that is not connected to your name, your work or your main inbox. Every platform here accepts a throwaway email, and Secrets AI and Swipey do not ask for a name at all. The reason is not theoretical: the Muah AI breach of September 2024 exposed 1.9 million email addresses together with chat prompts, and the addresses were used to extort people at work. Then decide where the text goes. On the seven hosted apps it goes to the company’s servers and stays there for whatever period the policy states (Swipey: six years after you leave; SpicyChat and CrushOn.ai: unstated). On Janitor AI with a proxy or Chub with an API key it goes to the model provider you chose, so read that provider’s policy too. On a local model through HammerAI it stays on your machine, which is the only configuration on this page that is private in the plain sense. Never put a real name, a photo, an address or an employer into a character card; cards are shared objects on the library platforms, and on Chub they are public by default.
Before you pay
Check the card descriptor (CrushOn.ai bills as subscribestar.com, Secrets AI as S LABS INC, Chub reportedly as Postcron.com, Swipey with a neutral line by design), check the refund clause (none of the nine offers one beyond what the law requires), remember that the affiliate links on this page never change the order, and set a reminder for the renewal date, because Nastia’s Trustpilot page is full of people who thought they had bought a month and had bought a year. Pay monthly on any platform you have used for less than a month; the annual discount is not worth a year on a service that tightens its filter in October. And read the rules once, properly. Safety and privacy for Uncensored AI
Uncensored AI chat is safe from the model and unsafe from the server, and the two questions get confused constantly. None of the nine platforms here offers end-to-end encryption, whatever the landing page says; all nine store your conversations in a form the model, and therefore the company, can read; and the ones with the fewest content rules are also the ones with the thinnest privacy paperwork. Our privacy scorecard grades: Nastia B, Secrets and Kalon C, SpicyChat and Swipey D, CrushOn.ai F; Janitor AI, Chub AI and Uncensy are not yet graded, and Chub's policy could not be read at all.
Use a separate email address, never your main one and never your work one. The Muah AI breach of September 2024 leaked 1.9 million email addresses together with users' chat prompts, and the addresses were used for extortion at people's workplaces. An uncensored platform is exactly the kind of site whose user list is worth stealing.
Never type your real name, address, employer, photos or payment details into a chat or a character card. Secrets AI and Swipey ask for no name at signup; Janitor AI and Chub AI need only an email; there is no reason to give any of them more.
Assume your chats train the model unless the policy says otherwise. CrushOn.ai and Secrets AI say outright that they train on chats; Kalon's terms allow it; SpicyChat's terms grant a perpetual licence; Uncensy's and Swipey's policies do not address it; Chub's could not be read. None of the nine offers an opt-out toggle.
Know where the text actually goes. On Janitor AI with a proxy and on Chub AI with an API key, every message is sent to the model provider you chose, and that provider's privacy policy, not the platform's, governs it. A local model through HammerAI or Chub keeps the text on your machine, which is the only configuration on this page where nobody else can read it.
Know the retention clock. Secrets AI deletes chat history at account deletion, Uncensy within 30 days with backups at 90, Nastia on request at any time, Kalon 'as long as reasonably necessary', and Swipey keeps your data six years after you leave. SpicyChat and CrushOn.ai state no period at all.
Read the guidelines even when the filter is off. Every platform here bans content involving minors, and all but Uncensy's short terms name non-consent and real people explicitly. SpicyChat, Nastia and Kalon terminate accounts for it without refund, and Janitor's help centre says content can be removed at moderation discretion. Uncensored means adult fiction between adult characters without the refusals, not the absence of rules.

Janitor AI, if 'best' means the fewest written rules: unlimited free roleplay on its own JLLM model, a $12.99 Janitor+ plan for five times the context, and any model you bring yourself. For a companion rather than a library, Nastia AI at $15.99 a month has no toggle, no hedging and a B privacy grade. For the cheapest polished app, CrushOn.ai at $58.88 a year, with an F on privacy.
Is there a truly uncensored AI with no rules at all?
Not as a hosted service. Every platform on this page bans content involving minors, and all but the newest name non-consent and real people explicitly; the loosest, Janitor AI and Chub AI, still say content can be removed at moderation discretion. The only setup with no platform rules is a local model on your own machine, through HammerAI or a Chub-style front end, where the limits are whatever the model was trained with.
What is the difference between uncensored AI chat and a raw uncensored model?
A chat platform (everything ranked here) gives you characters, memory, an interface and a company's rules, with the filter switched off for adult fiction. Is uncensored AI chat legal?
For adults, yes, in the US, UK and EU, provided the content stays inside each platform's written rules, which on every platform here exclude minors and on most exclude non-consent and real people. All nine require users to be 18 or older; Nastia, Kalon and Uncensy verify age at signup, the rest use a checkbox. Regulators are paying attention: the FTC opened a formal inquiry into companion chatbots in September 2025.
